Rime works because artists trust listeners with unfinished music, and listeners trust that what they hear is real. These rules keep both.

Unreleased music

What you hear before it’s out stays inside Rime

  • Never record, rip, download, share, post or sell a track that isn’t out, or reveal its title or artwork before they’re public.
  • Don’t try to find out whose a blind track is, or tell an artist who you are to sway how their track does.
  • A leak closes the account at once.
02.

Honest listening

Signals and votes come from real listening, one person at a time

  • Give a signal or a vote only for what you heard yourself.
  • No second accounts, bots, vote rings, bought or traded signals, or pressure on anyone to signal or vote a certain way, on Rime or off it.
  • Artists: invite people to listen through your own link, never to boost your track. Their signals reach you, but don’t count toward how your track lands.
03.

Your own music

Bring only what you made and have the rights to

  • Your own music, alone or with the artists you credit; no covers, remixes or other people’s songs; no generated songs or vocals, and no voice made to sound like a real person who hasn’t agreed to it (AI tools in the production are fine, and so is a vocal synthesizer you program note by note); samples only once cleared.
  • Mark a track Explicit when it has strong language or adult themes. Explicit is a label, not a penalty.
  • No malware, scams or misleading links on your profile, tracks or release pages.
04.

People

No harassment, hate or harm

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or sharing someone’s private details.
  • No hate against people for who they are.
  • Nothing that sexualises minors, no sexual content shared without consent, nothing that promotes self-harm, terrorism or violence. Rime removes it, closes the account and, where the law requires, tells the authorities.
  • Say what you think of the music, not of the person. Don’t shame an artist for unfinished work.
05.

Who you are

Be yourself, and claim only what’s true

  • Don’t pretend to be another artist, a label, a manager, a journalist or Rime.
  • Don’t claim a result, an honour or a relationship with Rime you don’t have.
  • Keep credits, bios and links accurate.
06.

Comments and contact

Talk to people the way you’d want to be talked to

  • Comments and contact requests are for real conversation: no spam, mass messages, scams or repeated unwanted promotion.
  • An accepted contact request isn’t permission for unlimited contact. A block is final.

When rules are broken

Report, block, and what Rime does

Report anything that breaks these rules; block anyone you’d rather not hear from. A report is read by a person, and isn’t a verdict on its own.

Depending on how serious it is, Rime warns, limits what an account can do, removes content, suspends, or closes the account. A leak, anything that sexualises minors, and threats close an account at once. Rime tells you what it did and why, and you can ask it to look again on Appeals.
